The Malcolm X Institute is the center of cultural enrichment for the students, faculty, and alumni of Wabash College, as well as the surrounding community. The former facility was housed in a residence on the edge of campus since its founding. Growth of the minority student population on campus necessitated an expanded facility. The new site is more centrally located to the main quad near a new athletic center and two residence halls.
Housed within the new 8,500 sq ft building are spaces to accommodate: lectures/receptions, quiet study, a computer room, classrooms, student offices, director’s office and several areas of varying sizes for social gatherings.
